    The Environment Agency has issued a regulatory position statement (RPS) on when you can temporarily store more waste than your permit allows during the COVID-19 (coronavirus) outbreak. If conditions in the RPS are followed waste storage conditions can be exceeded without a permit variation.

    This COVID-19 regulatory position statement (RPS) allows you to temporarily store more waste than your permit allows if you cannot remove waste from your site because of COVID-19 restrictions.

    If you follow the conditions in this COVID-19 RPS you can exceed waste storage limits without applying for a permit variation.

    You must notify the Environment Agency by email enquiries@environment-agency.gov.uk before using this COVID-19 RPS.
